Programme 2015-2016 (in French) available in late August

Thousands of pupils and students from the Liégeois region, but also from other Belgian provinces, attend the dress rehearsals, shows or activities at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège every season. This exceptional achievement fills us with confidence for the future. The detailed work done in the educational context also reveals another side of the opera: that of a meeting place, a unifying hub where cross-generational and social co-education is the norm!

Comprehensive, technical and vocational
It should be noted that the schools that visit the opera are not only part of the comprehensive-type system. Technical, vocational or specialist schools are also fond of opera activities, as we are a showcase for numerous trades on the one hand (the technical and manual trades have place of honour at our theatre) and a catalyst of emotions on the other.

Numerous activities
It is therefore with great pleasure that we present a new programme – full of discoveries, we hope – every season: access to rehearsals, high-season shows with preparatory event, tours of the Théâtre Royal and its workshops, etc. Educational tools are provided to teachers in order to help them prepare for their arrival at the opera. How much does this cost? Activities are free of charge or offered at competition-beating rates.
