One Sunday per month, there is a tasty and musical event for all the family: following a top quality brunch at the Foyer Grétry, the children are taken on an entertaining and educational discovery of the opera, while the parents take advantage to enjoy a relaxing musical moment.

The Opera House is a living venue of creation that opens its doors for many free events. The open days combine themed guided tours with activities and workshops that give a close up look at the artistic and technical professions and know-how involved.

Stories, paper chases, hidden treasures and magical encounters with characters from performances: the crazy and unforgettable “pyjama” evenings are a fun way to learn.

Original and varied activities at the Opera house and in the stage design and costume workshops help to unravel the mysteries of what goes on behind the scenes, how the music is performed and how the performances are produced!

Each evening, organised by the Friends of the Opera Association and compered by specialist Jean-Marc Onkelinx, is an opportunity to gain better understandings of underlying themes in works, the composer’s intentions or even the context in which the work was produced. As a bonus, during these events, various artists from the performance in question will also be present to make these evenings unforgettable moments.
