After the multiple ordeals recently faced, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège is endeavouring to rally together its stakeholders to uphold its musical and artistic standards, to preserve its international appeal and also, to maintain ties with the public awaiting the day our front doors are open to all.
This is why the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, under the initiative of its musical director Speranza Scappucci, the backing of the Board of Directors and full engagement of all its stakeholders, is looking to rethink its strategy and be forward-thinking by proposing a series of live-streamed performances on our website starting on 8 April 2021.
The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège has called upon its close collaborators, accomplished artists or young talents for this revised programme boasting a showcase of its creative talents.
Faithful to its accessibility policy, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège has chosen to give free access to most of its productions and very reasonable prices for paid streaming services.
Until our Theatre can again reunite with the public to share unique live musical and vocal experiences, I hope these performances will give each of you a moment of marvelling, escape and solace.
