Youth Choir and Opera

With a view to reaching out to young people from a variety of backgrounds aged between 18 and 28, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège is now taking an innovative approach. Already well-known for its professional choir and its Maîtrise, the ORW wants to create a bridge to guide young Maîtrise graduates towards continuing their operatic training.

The aim is to do more than simply guide these young people: it’s to make this experience accessible to all choral singing enthusiasts, whatever their level, who want to progress while enjoying themselves at the same time.

From musicals to variety to opera, these young people will have the opportunity to discover the profession of artist in a professional environment, exploring a wide repertoire. The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège is mobilising the musical skills of its experienced team to support and guide these young people as they explore their voices.

Through this initiative, the Opéra is strengthening its commitment to young people, accentuating its project of openness, sustainability and excellence.
