Biography

Whilst continuing her musical studies at the Brussels Royal Music Academy, Alexise Yerna joined the troop of the Studio Opera at the La Monnaie Royal Theatre. She then sang her first performance ofBelle Hélène on our stage.

Many other roles at the Wallonia-Liège Royal Opera followed, such as the Grand Duchess of Gerolstein and La Périchole. She interpreted the role of Dulcinea in L’Homme de la Mancha (The Man of La Mancha)alongside José van Dam in Liège. The Chorégies d’Orange festival welcomed her to play the Countess and the Page in Rigoletto. She has a particular fondness for Offenbach’s repertoire and the first Viennese school. Her technique allows her to interpret both soprano and lighter mezzo-soprano roles.

Recently, she has performed on stage in Manon, Luisa Miller, Rigoletto, Ernani, Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), Lucia di Lammermoor, La Traviata, Orphée aux enfers (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Othello. This season, she will be performing in Rigoletto, Carmen, Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) and Macbeth
