A new opportunity for young Artists: a Masterclass in Opera Conducting at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège
The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège is offering young talent a unique opportunity: a Masterclass dedicated to conducting an opera orchestra. From 22 to 26 August 2023, Maestro Giampaolo Bisanti, Music Director, will guide five talented conductors under the age of 32. They will explore the operas Lucia di Lammermoor, La Traviata, Rigoletto, Il Barbiere di Siviglia and I Capuleti e i Montecchi.
At the heart of this event is an exceptional collaboration with the prestigious Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, as well as with renowned soloists from the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth and the International Opera Academy in Ghent.
The Masterclass will close with a free concert, open to the public, on 26 August at 3 pm. This is an opportunity for the participants to showcase all that they have learnt during this inspiring course.
