2022-2023

“In addition to the beauty of her tone, equal over her entire range, it is the singer’s technique that dazzles, allowing her a great variety of colours as well as a superb array of nuances: her very long voice is capable of the most brilliant crescendo as well as the most subtle diminuendo”.

Stéphane Lelièvre, Première Loge

Impossible notes and irresistible magnetism, Marina Rebeka offers us a unique recital… just for us… a must-see!

Born in Riga, Marina Rebeka studied at the famous Conservatorio Santa Cecilia music academy in Rome. She also attended the summer academies in Salzburg and Pesaro. After several triumphs at international competitions, such as the New Voices Competition in Gütersloh, she made her debut in 2009 at the prestigious Salzburg Festival in Moïse et Pharaon by Rossini, directed by Riccardo Muti. Her international career took off and the invitations to perform on the greatest operatic stages came pouring in. She has sung under the direction of Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano, Fabio Luisi, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Stéphane Denève, Alberto Zedda and more, in a vast repertoire, ranging from Handel to Stravinsky, including the Italian bel canto of Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti. She is considered by the press and music lovers to be one of the best current interpreters of the role of Violetta, which she played triumphally in Vienna and New York. Her performance as Thaïs, at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo in 2021, has become an absolute reference.

On our stage, Marina Rebeka will put her immense talent at the service of the Tudor queens staged by Donizetti… simply immense!
