A world class duo

Bringing together two names such as Jessica Pratt and Lawrence Brownlee for a prestigious recital offers the assurance of an unforgettable musical moment.

A perfect Bel Canto singer

Acclaimed by the New York Times as one of most brilliant sopranos of her generation, boasting outstanding lyrical grace, Jessica Pratt possesses poise and agility in the art of bel canto singing. In 2007, her career took off following her performance in Lucia di Lammermoor which opened every door to her and she has made the major heroines of the repertoire her travelling companions: overwhelming in a legendary performance of La Traviata in Melbourne in 2014 or also on her debut at the Met in New York in 2016 as the Queen of the Night.

Rossini at heart

Blessed with a voice of extraordinary suppleness, Lawrence Brownlee is a light tenor for whom bel canto no longer holds any secrets. A graduate of several American universities, his career experienced its veritable beginning with his triumph at La Scala in Milan in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in 2002. He continued his progress, gracing the stages of the greatest opera houses and specialising in singing Rossini’s works, conducted by the great Alberto Zedda. Mozart, Donizetti, Bellini and Bizet are also among his preferred composers. In June 2019, Lawrence Brownlee triumphed on our stage with an exceptional performance as Lord Arturo Talbot in I Puritani.
