Far, far away from here, a fabulous forest… hidden… in India! And a young girl, very beautiful, with a magical voice. Lakmé is her name. In her little (en)song world, birds galore, an extracalifragilordinary friend… Everything might seem idyllic in this picture, but what if appearances were deceiving?

This little story skilfully mixes poetry and humour, in a performance tailor-made for young children, which deals with significant values, such as friendship, freedom and otherness… Given tempo by the piano and percussions, L’Histoire (en)chantée de Lakmé makes it possible to enjoy an active discovery of Léo Delibes’ irresistible music: Lakmé will take you under her wing to sing the dove song and Mallika will teach you a little phrase in sign language.
