Nadine Sierra, the extraordinary American soprano, is among the sure values of the young generation. Her operatic destiny was kick-started when she made a remarkable impact on a radio programme for young talents on which she sang Puccini’s famous “O mio babbino caro”.

Passionate about all repertoires, she is a skilled singer of ancient music as well as modern melodies. She has won acclaim on the world’s biggest stages and has worked with prestigious directors such as Michael Haneke or Olivier Py. Daniel Barenboim entrusted her with the role of Love in Gluck’s  Orpheus and Eurydice in Berlin and made her debut in 2017 at the Chorégies d’Orange opera festival with her favourite role, Gilda. Her impressively powerful voice allows her to take on dramatic roles whilst remaining at ease for high-pitched notes, as well as displaying formidable mellowness over her entire tessitura.

As a modern singer constantly on the move, she often jokingly remarks that she lives in her suitcase. She is aware of the importance of communication and believes that the world of opera must be demystified among young people via the social networks. Her Facebook page is a veritable logbook of her journeys and concerts. The group that she has she up on the platform is a genuine discussion forum on which she enters into dialogue with her readers.
