Support our production of "Carmen" at the International Opera Awards with just a few clicks!

Nous avons en tête une affaire…

As you may know, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège has been diligently working for years to increasingly position itself among the leading opera houses in Europe. This commitment is evident in every aspect of our performances, from the caliber of our casts and the insightfulness of our stagings to the sustained high standards of our Orchestra and Choir. These elements have not only garnered critical acclaim but also recognition from our audience, who continue to honor us with their loyal attendance.

However, the reputation of an opera house is also built on recognition from its peers: the efforts of our teams and the excellence of our productions have caught the attention of international artists and opera house directors worldwide.

Building on this strong foundation, we aim to spotlight our current production of Carmen by submitting it for consideration at the prestigious International Opera Awards.

We need your help!

Often referred to as the “Oscars” of the opera world, the International Opera Awards are handed out annually by the British magazine Opera, a cornerstone in music journalism.

Awards will be given by a jury of specialized music critics, but—and this is where we need your support—everyone has the chance to nominate their favorites for the International Opera Awards!

We invite you to endorse our ongoing production of Carmen in the “New Production” category. Your support, which only takes a few clicks, would be incredibly valuable to us!

How to vote?

Simply go to the nominees’ page, locate the “New Production” section, and enter “CARMEN” in the “Title” field and “OPÉRA ROYAL DE WALLONIE-LIÈGE” in the “Company” field.

Then, in the “Your Details” section, fill in the fields with your name and email before clicking the “Submit” button, and you’re all set!

Nominations will close on Jul 31, 2024, with shortlists announced in August.

Thank you in advance for your support, and we wish you a wonderful summer,

The team at the Royal Opera of Wallonia-Liège
